The AI Policy Lab is a project in close collaboration with the research group in Responsible AI at the Department of Computing Science at Umeå University
The Responsible Artificial Intelligence (RAI) research group at Umeå University is rooted in computer science and investigates the ethical, societal, and technical challenges of AI. Its work spans the development of methods and frameworks for ensuring that AI systems are trustworthy, transparent, and aligned with human values. Within this group, the AI Policy Lab brings a distinctly multidisciplinary dimension, connecting computer science with social sciences, law, and policy.
The Lab plays a key role in translating research insights into governance and policy frameworks that support the responsible development and use of AI.
