This Roadmap for AI Policy Research, a collaborative effort by participants of the AI Policy Summit, led by the AI Policy Lab and MILA, outlines key priorities for advancing research that strengthens AI governance and human-centered AI.

This roadmap outlines key priorities and guiding actions for AI policy research, emphasizing:

  • Transparency, accountability, and responsible governance
  • Inclusive and equitable AI development
  • AI’s impact on human and planetary well-being
  • Foresight-driven regulation and transboundary governance
